Fatehgarh Sahib Nahru Yuva Club ,Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib was founded on 15-2-1999 by Narinder Modi . The motive behind inaugrating this club was to motivate youth towards right direction, avoid drugs and to remove separations in society. This club conducts tournaments, female foeticide seminars, rallies, eye operation camp, general camp, seminars on drug addiction, free cutting and tailoring camp for six months and plays a big role in implementation.

The club comprises of 30 members and every member stays away from drugs. The club forbids entry of drugg addicts. The club hods an account in “Bank of India “, Fatehgarh Sahib. The members of this club tread on the paths shown by the martyrs.This club celebrates events related to national and international levels like Teachers’ day , Old Age day, Population day, Martyrs day , TB Day, AIDS Day, Blood Donation Camp etc. This club was awarded State level prize in a competition of youth clubs in punjab held by Nahru Yuva Association under Govt. of India.

This club commenced the tradition of celebrating World AIDS Day from 1st December,2008 every year and attaching of red ribbon on arms. In this movement red ribbons were attached to staffs of different schools, institutions, and with the intervention of SSP of Punjab police Koshtub Sharma(IPS) ribbons were attached to employees of Punjab Police. Dr. Tarsem lal ,SMO gave information on the importance of red ribbons. Govt.Health department of fatehgarh sahib fully cooperates in organizing events related to health. This club organizes blood donaton camp regulary so that no one faces shortage of blood in the district.

In 2006, deputy commisioner, Mrs. Jaspreet kaur talwar (IAS), cooperated with the club upto maximum.The club is highly obliged to her and in this way, ADC, Mr. Dharam pal Guta , also cooperates with us every now and then. We are attached to Nehru Yuve Kendra for the last ten years which provides cooperation from time to time. We are thankful to friends, residents of district, political parties and officers who never refused to cooperate with us. The first president of this club, Charnjit Singh Channi , who is a chairman of this club nowdays and present president of this club is Mr.Gurvinder Singh Sohi who is working for this post for the last five years. The Secratory of this club is Mr.Manuj Modi. This club is always at the service of community and has brought laurels to its name.
